Civil engineering vs Architecture salary

Civil engineering vs Architecture salary An average Architect can earn around 34 -55k depending on the location and type of practice. whilst an average Civil engineer will be on 25-35k with good experience and an average Structural Engineer on a little more 30-45k.

Salary is dependent on professional proficiency, subject knowledge, school of graduation, company and need of the hour. Moreover, in general, civil engineers are equipped with more knowledge than architects in terms of complex mathematics, analysis and structural design and so they are paid more than architects.

A lot is actually also dependent on the stage of their career. A civil engineering freshman is almost always restricted to a site job and a meagre salary at the beginning of his career. An architect on the other hand can grab a job with a decent income. This is perhaps because he can directly add value to his employer by helping with the deliverables. Situations may change over the years as the engineer start getting experience and is able to handle the projects better.
