solutions architect career path

solutions architect career path  A common step on the solution architect career path is becoming a software developer. This is with good reason, as solution architects need to be able to understand code, and sometimes even write and debug code as part of their role. ... Most of the solution architects I've met have come from a development background.

Solution architects usually need a bachelor's degree related to information technology, software engineering or computer science. A master's degree is usually needed for a specialization in systems architecture, and some employers may prefer applicants to have a master of business administration in information systems.

The solutions architect with the best experience and education will be at an advantage. Some solution architects go on to higher level positions within the company they are working for.
